Notice boards and emails
Try to remember to check the notice boards on your way into the common room. In particular, make sure to check details of forthcoming events. Other bits of information which can be found here include Hall menus, signing-up lists for guest dinners and activities, and details of important college and university matters. Everyone's photograph is put up in the GCR to facilitate getting to know people's names, so bear in mind that one of the photos you send to college will be seen by the GCR.
Notices are also sent out via the GCR email list which you will be automatically subscribed to when you arrive. A lot of e-mails get sent out, but we try to minimise them and/or make them amusing. Please don't delete them straight away. Please.
