The College Chaplain (the Revd Ralph Williamson) offers counsel and pastoral support to all members of Christ Church, whatever their religious beliefs. His room is Killcanon 1; telephone (2)76236. His website is at www.chch.ox.ac.uk/chaplain.

The University Counselling Service is a professionally staffed confidential service for assistance with personal, emotional, social and academic problems. The Service is available free to all matriculated undergraduate and graduate members of the University. You can make an appointment with the University Counselling Service by calling 01865 270300 or by e-mailin reception@counserv.ox.ac.uk. Alternatively, you can ask to be referred by your GP. The Counselling Service is located on 11 Wellington Square and their website is at http://www.admin.ox.ac.uk/shw/counserv.shtml.

The College Nursing Sister (Ms Janet Undery) has a surgery in Killcanon 2, internal extension 76176, email janet.undery@chch.ox.ac.uk. Surgery hours are 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Tutor for Graduates is Prof Sarah Randolph, who is available to discuss academic or college-related matters.

Medical issues and Physical Health

The College Doctors are Dr Robin Foster and Dr Jane Mortensen of 27 Beaumont Street, Oxford, telephone 01865 311500. The Dentist takes Christ Church students on the NHS. He is located at 3 George Street, Oxford. tel: 244304. This is a resource that many overlook.

Sexual Health: The Harrison Clinic (GUM) Radcliffe Infirmary, Woodstock Road, Oxford. Tel. 01865 246036. Opening Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.15 am - 6pm. The Harrison Department at the Radcliffe Infirmary offers free, anonymous and confidential tests, treatment and advice to anyone with concerns about sexual health or sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV. No referral is necessary. The clinic operates by appointment Monday to Friday, 9.15 am - 6 pm A walk-in service exists for HIV testing each weekday between 1.30 and 2.30 pm Patients with emergencies can be seen on the same day, after discussion with a member of staff. Condoms

Outside the College Nurse's room (Killcanon 2), regular and extra strength condoms are available from a machine shared with the JCR for a nominal cost of two pence each, 24 hours a day.
